Hilary B can talk!

Well it is the name of her blog!

And if ever there was an appropriate title, then this is it!

But you can also find more of Hilary on her website.

Well, our Hilary had a stand at FoQ this year, and I dropped by just as she was doing a demonstration.

Hilary was running on Duracell batteries!  I was flagging before she did and all I was doing was holding the camera!

She is at the Bramble Patch later this month, in case you missed her at FoQ.

  1. That girl is a force of nature! She never stops! I bought Hilary's book and I'm looking forward to finding time to have a really good look at it and a play.

    1. It is really excellent - a very straight forward 'how to' guide. I wonder how many she sold! Lots of people were buying from her.

    1. I have not been to one of her workshops but I have been on one with her - one that Stephanie Redfern ran. She is very generous in the way she shares techniques.

She is doing quite a few at the Bramble Patch next year. I don't know if that is convenient for you - not far from Junction 16 of the M1.

  3. I managed to catch her at a quiet time on Sunday when she was recharging those Duracells. I've done a workshop with her and she is excellent. What a difference to the stand two away from her where the two vendors sat at the back with the most miserable expressions I have ever see. Not even a smile when people stopped to browse, no interaction at all - bet they didn't have a good show!

    1. I think I saw those stands too! You really have to engage with people to make it work at an environment like FoQ.

There has been so much positive comment about Hilary I think her energy and enthusiasm must be infectious.

  4. HI Hilary - finally got here (still not finished unpacking .. but needed a break)!! Thank you for the photos and kind words .. I was amazed it got so busy .. and I think it is my enthusiasm that attracts people .. I really want them to feel they can do it too .... which of course they can. Baffling why anyone would pay fro a stand and then glare at customers .. maybe they had just had an argument?? I have had a couple of lie ins - but now getting excited about the new Art Textile Gallery .. will have to check the re-charger! See you soon - love to those gorgeous doggies xx
